Religion was very important to the romans. The romans adopted many greek gods. They also took gods from other cultures to make their own group of gods. At roman temples and shrines, people made offerings and promises to the gods. They left food like honey and fruit. They sacrificed animals like bulls, sheep, and oxen. Special holidays or Holy days were held to honor the gods. Religion was definately a part of roman life.
